Restoration

In 2000, Hertford Town Council, with whom the responsibility for the care and maintenance of Hertford War Memorial lies, agreed to fund the restoration of the memorial. The Council applied for assistance towards the cost of restoration from English Heritage, and was successful in receiving £5000 towards the project.

Work on the Grade II listed memorial was completed in June 2001. The following pictures illustrate some of the work undertaken.
